The stampede to Net Zero will see Australia relying on an energy system that appears to be planned to fail right from the start. That anyone could design a system that relies on the Sun only shining a maximum of eight hours a day, (if it is wet it mightn’t shine at all). And secondly on the wind blowing not too soft or not too strong, and only averaging just right for only 35% or eight hours a day. If it wasn’t so serious it would be joke.
This creates a huge risk to our security as with a huge storm, a cold, still night or a cyber attack, all could see an energy drought created, which could see Australia, brought to a panicking halt.
This is the theme of a warning ‘Net Zero Threatens National Security’ given to United Kingdom (UK) residents. The warning says that as the EU shifts its spending priorities from the Net Zero agenda to investing in defence, a prominent expert on national security has called for the UK to go back to coal, oil and gas and to start fracking. ‘These are the only domestic energy sources that do not leave the country’s energy security at the mercy of enemy states’, Professor Gwythian Prins has warned.
Professor Prins, formerly head of the Mackinder Programme at the London School of Economics, and an adviser to NATO and the Ministry of Defence, warns that our lack of secure energy supplies risks leaving us dangerously exposed.
That advice to the UK residents applies equally if not more so to Australia. Particularly as Australian Solar and Wind Factories have Chinese made (and internet operated) inverters. Example: 1st February 5.00pm EDST. Batteries 0%, Biomass 0%, Black Coal 49%, Brown Coal 12%, Gas 3%, Hydro 3% Diesel 0% Solar 23%, Wind 10% (The unreliables Batteries, Solar and Wind a total of 33%). But another 2 hours and Solar will have gone for its daily 16-hour sleep.
