Hi Team members,

The Optus outage across Australia today 8/11/23 shows in a small way what major blackouts will do. In Melbourne the train services were halted due to communication problems. Optus users found that all the Apps on their phones no longer worked. They couldn’t communicate with anyone, couldn’t do Banking, couldn’t do anything!!!

It just goes to show that the move to Net Zero through a ‘Transition to Unreliables and the closing of Coal Fired Generators, accompanied by prioritising Electric Vehicles over Petrol and Diesel vehicles and banning the use of LNGas in new homes will lead to a disaster of unimaginable proportions.

WE MUST IMPRESS ON ALL OF OUR ENERGY MINISTERS THAT THEY HAVE THE NUMBER ONE RESPONSIBILITY TO GUARANTEE TO PROVIDE A CONSTANT, RELIABLE SUPPLY OF BASE LOAD ELECTRICITY, 24/HRS/DAY, 7 DAYS/WEEK.

OUR PETITION BECOMES MORE IMPORTANT THAN EVER.

Please promote our petition as widely as possible. https://www.change.org/p/blackouts-will-be-devastating-they-must-be-avoided-at-all-costs I would value it if you are able to donate $20 or $50 to promote the petition on Change.org and also promote it on Facebook, Twitter, Whatsapp or Email.

KEEP INFORMED BY DAILY MONITORING THE AEMO DATA DASHBOARD. And alert your friends to watch the AEMO dashboard, the more know what's happening the better.

Particularly at 7pm and 7am (Or a time that suits you?) watch (and record) the mix of coal, gas hydro, batteries, solar and wind generation and the prices per MWh for each State on the AEMO dashboard.

Example:31st Oct 8.15pm EDST. Batteries 1%, Biomass 0%, Black Coal 48%, Brown Coal 15%, Gas 9%, Hydro 13% Diesel 0% Solar 0%, Wind 14% (The unreliables Solar and Wind total of 14%),

Solar has gone sleepy-byes as the Sun has set. (Is it not madness, to have an electricity generator that can only at maximum, produce electricity for nine hours a day? The other fifteen hours of a day it produces zero electricity).

But if it was a calm night as well, then the AEMU would be needing those coal fired generators to be filling the gap left by the unreliables. Unreliables can be cheap for a few hours. But it is the average over 24hrs, that matters on your electricity bill.

We are up to 2,439 signatures, let’s increase it by many more, everyone’s future depends on it. Continue to spread the word, to all family, friends, anyone you meet, particularly discuss it with shop and business owners. Ask the question, “How do you plan to cope when the blackouts come? Are you thinking of buying a generator? I’m having second thoughts about the portable generator, but I have gas for cooking and heating. WE MUST KEEP THOSE COAL FIRED GENERATORS GOING.
