IF A HOME OR BUSINESS IS BLACKED OUT BECAUSE THEY CAN’T PAY THE BILL. IT IS JUST AS SERIOUS AS A PHYSICAL BLACKOUT CAUSED BY A SHORTAGE OF ELECTRICITY.
I still have difficulty believing it, but I have just received notification that the cost of my gas bill is going to increase by 39%. I am sure many of you have received similar notices. It’s frightening. This increase in gas prices will flow on to gas fired generators who will have to increase the price of the electricity they generate, when filling in the gaps, when unreliable ‘Stone Age’ Solar Panels and ‘Medieval’ Wind Turbines are unable to generate any electricity owing to a drought of weather fuels.
These extreme gas and electricity price increases are already having extremely serious effects, with many businesses reducing productivity or closing (a brickworks closed in Victoria). As well there are many stories being related of pensioners and others on low incomes living in pitifully cold and dark conditions because they are not able to afford to heat and light their homes. Other stories of families living on one meal a day, in order to afford heating are numerous. With record numbers of people having to seek energy bill payment relief of both electricity and gas.
The Australian Government is partnering with state and territory governments to provide up to $3 billion in electricity bill relief for eligible households and small businesses through the Energy Bill Relief Fund. While this is helpful for a small percentage of those affected, it is only paying them with their own borrowed money! (The Government has no money of its own, its Australian’s money that Governments manage).
This would be unnecessary if commonsense policies were put in place to scrap Net Zero campaigns and the transition to Unreliables. INSTEAD, ALL COAL FIRED GENERATORS NEED TO BE KEPT RUNNING UNTIL THEY ARE REPLACED BY HELE COAL FIRED GENERATORS OR SMALL MODULAR REACTORS.
KEEP INFORMED BY DAILY MONITORING THE AEMO DATA DASHBOARD. And alert your friends to watch the AEMO dashboard, the more know what's happening the better.
Particularly at 7pm and 7am (Or a time that suits you?) watch (and record) the mix of coal, gas hydro, batteries, solar and wind generation and the prices per MWh for each State on the AEMO dashboard.
IT IS VITALLY IMPORTANT THAT NO CLOSED COAL FIRED POWER STATION BE DEMOLISHED AS THEY CERTAINLY WILL BE NEEDED IN THE FUTURE.
We are up to 1,671 signatures, let’s increase it by many more, everyone’s future depends on it. Continue to spread the word, to all family, friends, anyone you meet, particularly discuss it with shop and business owners. Ask the question, “How do you plan to cope when the blackouts come? Caused by this senseless transition to UNRELIABLES.
