Hello Human Family Members,

Thank you to everyone who has supported this petition and is reading these updates. We are continuing to promote the petition and take action to ensure that Haywood, CaSonya, and Jean did not die in vain, and that Massachusetts provides the protections and culturally competent care to Queer and BIPOC patients it claims to care so much about.

Assaults on marginalized communities in this country are happening every day and from all sides, even here, right now, in Massachusetts.

It is with a heavy heart that I announce the firing of Sera Davidow, beloved Director of the WildFlower Alliance, seemingly in retaliation for simply standing up for marginalized people and attempting to become independent from the Western Mass Training Consortium.

The alleged behaviors by the Western Mass Training Consortium are truly shocking and disturbing. If there is any substance to these allegations, and I suspect there is, Sera was simply trying to protect Wildflower Alliance community members and protect the organization by becoming independent.

Read “Statement on the Firing of Sera Davidow” by a coalition of Wildflower Alliance team members and learn how you can help here

The Wildflower Alliance is a grassroots peer support and training organization with a focus on harm reduction and human rights, with four drop-in centers in Western Massachusetts and a thriving Discord server, offering critical peer-run groups, including Alternatives to Suicide and Hearing Voices, peer-run respites, housing supports, career initiative grants, and Community Bridging in hospitals and jails.

I personally attend Wildflower Alliance groups online and find, as many others have, that it has saved my life. Patients and ex-patients all across the country and worldwide depend on Wildflower Alliance. I often hear things from participants like “Wildflower saved my life,” “This is the only place I can be myself,” “I feel safe here,”Everywhere else I feel judged,” and “There is no other place I can attend groups like this.”

If you care about patients in Massachusetts and marginalized communities across the globe, please read the coalitions letter and consider getting involved.
