Black Caucus Seeks Presidential Pardon for NYC Mayor Eric Adams

Black Caucus Seeks Presidential Pardon for NYC Mayor Eric Adams
The Issue
The Black Caucus of the New York Young Republican Club understands that NYC Mayor Eric Adams holds a significant position in the hearts of the people of New York. Elected by an overwhelming majority, his leadership and service are deeply rooted in the will of the community. Recently, Mayor Adams has had to contend with the weaponization of the judicial system and the use of political lawfare to hinder his ability to fulfill his duties and responsibilities, especially those related to the migrant crisis in NYC. Mayor Adams has been vocal in his support of a national solution as his city has been impacted more than any other city in the country. It's time we seek bi-partisan justice for Mayor Eric Adams, under the Constitution.
We are calling on President Joseph Biden, or incoming President Donald J. Trump, to strongly consider grant of a full presidential pardon for Mayor Eric Adams so that he can carry out the will of the people and continue to effectively serve New York. He currently has the support and confidence of not only the People, but also of Governor Kathy Hochul. Mayor Adams has maintained that he is innocent of the pending federal charges and has remained steadfast in his position. He continues to effectively do his job and should be allowed to do so without fear nor fodder. Furthermore, we seek to ask President Biden/President Trump, to extend the President's pardon power to any pending federal criminal matter under investigation, and/or permit a non-criminal resolution, if necessary. This action will allow Mayor Adams to continue to serve the interests of the New York public unimpeded.
Mayor Adams carries with him the hopes and aspirations of New York's people and any obstacles to fulfilling his duty must be regarded as an obstacle for all New Yorkers. We stand firm in our belief in his dedication and commitment to the service of his community. By granting him a presidential pardon, we can uphold the values of justice and democracy, providing a clear path for Mayor Adams to continue his important work.
Sign the petition TODAY to support granting a Presidential pardon for Mayor Eric Adams. The application and petition for a presidential pardon will be completed and filed with the U.S. Department of Justice on or by December 31, 2024. Thank you for your support.
