I hope everyone is keeping well and safe on what has been called Super Saturday for the re-opening of many more businesses.  From my end I am going to be naming this coming Wednesday 8th July 'Super Wednesday'.  You might be asking yourself why this is with nothing exciting springing to mind.

However I have decided after looking back over these past 3 months, more needs to be done to help the victims of the Post Office Horizon Scandal, whilst also contributing to the dedication of key charities across the country during this pandemic.  So many of these victims have suffered terribly over the past 20 years at the hands of the Post Office.  They have been bullied, harassed, threatened, made bankrupt, falsely imprisoned, suffered long term physical and mental illnesses and worst of all at least 3 people have committed suicide that I am aware of.  Sadly those who are no longer with us and those with the most severe illnesses are not in a position to fight back and get the justice they rightly deserve, there are so many families still suffering.....that is why we must fight on for them!

I will be completing the C2C (Sea to Sea / Coast to Coast) cycle route from Whitehaven to Sunderland with a total distance of 136 miles within 3 days starting Wednesday 8th July to raise funds for the Post Office Horizon Scandal victims, described as the biggest miscarriage of justice in UK legal history destroying at least 1,000 lives.  Amounts will also be donated to 3 key charities from the total amount raised.  This will be a challenge for me as it is at least 5 years since I last sat on a bike, but for a cause like this it has to be done.

A guaranteed 25% of the total amount donated will go to charities across the UK.  It will be shared between NHS charities, Mental Health Charity 'Mind' and a selection of Food Bank charities.  Any amounts that exceed the total fundraising total will also be distributed to the above charities.  The amounts given to each charity will be shared once fundraising is complete.

I am looking to raise £50,000 (25% - £12,500 for charity) in total - again any amounts above the total needed 100% will go to the charities above) to get justice for Post Office Horizon Scandal victims whilst also supporting the charities that have helped these victims and millions of others during this pandemic.  We have until July 15th to raise the funds needed so time is running out.
