Birth certificates and 26 of August 1986 Australian law

Birth certificates and 26 of August 1986 Australian law
The issue
Since the passing of a certain legislation, Australians born after 26th August 1986 have been disproportionately affected by additional costs and unfair, unreasonable requirements. At present date it is a legal requirement that all Australians born on or after the 26 of August 1986 have in their posetion full copies of either of their Australian birth parents. You have only three options,
1. Have a healthy enough relationship with either parent to have access to their birth certificate,
2. Apply for citizenship and pay $400 to the government. A tax on your citizenship request in the form of GST is applied.
3. Live the rest of your life as a persona non grata, a facsimile of a citizenship, but cannot get a passport and can never legally leave the country. Millenials, you are directly affected by this.
These costs include a $400 fee and the requirement to provide parents' birth certificates to prove citizenship. The birth certificates of individuals belonging to this demographic should inherently represent their full citizenship.
With this policy in place, it has created inequality among Australians purely based on their date of birth. Therefore, we are calling for a revision of this policy and for the Australian government to recognize the full citizenship of those born after this date without additional cost or paperwork. We request the elimination of this additional $400 fee as it is an unnecessary financial burden on this population, and the abandonment of the requirement for parents' birth certificates. This is a call for justice, equality, and a significant step to stop exploiting these Australians who are just as part of this nation as those born before the specified date.
Join us in taking a stand against these exploitative practices and sign this petition. Your support can help achieve fairness for all Australian citizens, irrespective of their birth year.
