Please click on the link below and write a brief comment on or before 6/29. The State of Florida wants to eliminate the reporting requirement for fertilizer licensees to submit monthly sales tonnage information. This is the same information Jim Waymer of Florida Today used for his article demonstrating the reduced sales after the ordinances were passed. Clearly this data is a threat to the industry. You can comment until Wednesday 6/29/16 by clicking on the link below. Here is a general idea of what you can write if you disagree with them doing away with fertilizer sales reporting. Once you are on the website, click on the "MAKE COMMENT" button and submit your comment today! ***I am against the proposed rule that will eliminate the fertilizer reporting requirements by fertilizer licensees. Over 100 municipalities have implemented fertilizer ordinances and the sales records provide an evaluable measure of ordnance success. Furthermore, fertilizer inputs in tons provides a metric to estimate pollutant loads resulting from fertilizer. Please continue to require that fertilizer licensees report their fertilizer sales.
