Our goal is to preserve the rural heritage of the Town of Mamakating.  We are petitioning the leaders of the Town of Mamakating to make the following changes:  

• Rezone the western portion of the Town of Mamakating to Mountain Greenbelt, creating a full Mountain Greenbelt corridor from north to south along the Town’s western border. 
  
  
• Create a Lake District Overlay zone to cover the developed properties surrounding the four lakes within the proposed Mountain Greenbelt zone.  This includes Yankee Lake, Masten Lake, Wanasink Lake and Wolf Lake.  The Lake District Overlay would add additional protections and assist the Town Planning and Zoning Boards with variance requests for any building within the district. 
  
  
• Correct the language in the zoning regulations in PRO and MG regarding building density and cluster development rules.
