The opposition to the rezoning proposal is growing. We are getting closer to a big milestone - hitting 1,000 supporters online. We hit 1,000 signatures offline as well, bringing us close to 2,000 in under a week! Tomorrow is a very important day, and will mark the first time we can voice our concerns to the City in person at the Community Board 5 meeting near Union Square. The meeting is at 6:15pm at SGI-USA New York Culture Center at 7 E 15th Street (Bet 5th Ave & Union Square West), New York, NY 10003. At this meeting, the New York Economic Development Corporation and Department of City Planning will be presenting their rezoning proposal to workers, factory owners, supplier business owners, organized labor leaders, and community leaders.
