About 50.000 people in New York are homeless. Many of them have pets. Although "Code blue" ensures that ALL homeless people get an accomodation option for the cold nights, their pets are NOT allowed to come along. But this is not only a problem during the winter.

Two young people had been rejected from a homeless shelter because of their dogs. This is inhuman and unnecessary. 

Please help me to demand compassion understanding for a change of thinking. Homeless people have to get permission to keep their furry friends even in the homeless shelters. Pets are NOT a sanitary problem if you just follow some precautions! Dogs are very neat animals - they just need to get out to do their business. If requested it would be easy to provide some sanitizer and a designated area for dog bowls.

Let´s make a difference and help the homeless to fight for justice. No one should be forced to say goodbye to a family member - precisely because those are pets who never damn their humans.
