Folks: I'm learning that some of you have given money to change.org to promote this petition...I'm stunned!

That may explain the sudden surge in signatures over the past few weeks.

When others donate to this petition, change.org exposes it to a much wider audience...in the hundreds of thousands (or more).

Though some in Walpole think this is a lost cause, I think millions of Americans would say otherwise...so I'm asking anyone to at least sign the petition...and PLEASE post your town & state (country if applicable), and please comment on why you support it.

In this video, Ms. Mackenzie attempts a weak connection between the Rebel and the Patriots of 1775-1783. She is an avid local Rebel Football fan, a graduate of Walpole High School (I am as well...class of 1971).

Walpole is my home town...and I am still in awe every day that my home town had citizens that took part in significant events in American History, from The Battle of Lexington and other clashes during The Revolution, to events during the War of The Rebellion, when their own great grandsons took part in a massive effort in the name of Freedom and helped free nearly 4 million african - americans from the bonds of slavery....

I'm determined to bust the "Rebel Bubble" in Walpole, and bring us together using our own history of the birth of this nation, and helping it become that more perfect Union expressed by President Lincoln. I hope you agree...

The new goal: 10,000 Signatures, welcome from All Americans who love our History, and our Freedoms....
