About 3 years ago someone else started a similar petition. It was a brother of one of my 1971 HS classmates. This man was some I did not know, and lived on the west coast. I actually asked him to discontinue the petition. He never did...but not many people signed it, nor did they promote it. Fast forward to a recent discussion about this issue on a local FB feed, and one of the commenters said that if I started a petition, he would sign it. So if you signed this, Thank You. And if you commented, thank you very much...especially to the woman who graduated from Overton HS during the segregated era in Memphis, Tennessee.
