The Issue

We, the residents and property owners of Beverly, Massachusetts, formally record our strong opposition to the proposed 250-to-300-unit age-restricted residential development and multi-story assisted living facility at 128 Boulder Lane (Map 73, Lot 8).

While we support high-quality senior housing in appropriate locations, the scale, density, and industrial-restricted location of this specific proposal pose severe, unmitigable risks to our community. We respectfully urge the Zoning Board of Appeals and the Planning Board to DENY any requests for Special Permits under BZO § 300-43(C)(1)(a), dimensional height variances, or site plan approvals based on traffic hazards on narrow residential streets, environmental risks to the sensitive Salem-Beverly Water Supply Protection Overlay District, and architectural incompatibility with the surrounding Centerville neighborhood landscape.
