Petition updateThyroid Patients Need Better Treatment NOWThyroid Petition Update, and New Easy Way you can Help!

Hi, all.  As of today, we have 7,648 signatures on the petition
I created, "Thyroid Patients Need Better Treatment NOW," in
memory of my brother Jordan and all he went through.
Hopefully, this petition will help change things so others
won't keep going through similar health hardships in
the future.  But right now, there's still work to do on it...

I wanted you to know that the Change dot org platform,
which hosts the petition, has now made a QR code available
that can be used to share the petition with others in-person,
or that can be printed off as a flyer that can be left places
where others might see it and sign.

I've posted a smaller version of the flyer to this email
(as I don't think it's possible to post a full-sized version
here). People can scan the QR code and read the petition,
then sign it on-the-spot if they want. If any of you would like
to help by printing out copies of the mini-flyer I've attached
here, and try to get it to more potential supporters, that'd
be great!

I know it's a bit of work to print copies out and maybe cut
the above mini-flyer with QR code out from this update, but it
could be worth it in the long-run.  For you, for your family, for
anyone suffering with low or high thyroid problems--including
autoimmune Hashimoto's and Graves' Diseases.

I know that not everyone who's signed the petition so far
actually has thyroid disease themselves.  But especially if you
do, or a relative does.....using this QR code is another path to
hopefully getting more signatures than I can get, just through
online sites. And if you're not well to help with this yourself,
maybe a relative or friend could assist.  I'm not well to go many
many places myself now, due to thyroid, but I'll try to get others
to help me spread the QR code around.

Anyone can sign from any country, even though I'm in the USA.
From what I've read in comments I've received, and in many
other thyroid forums & websites, it seems like better thyroid
diagnosis & care is needed world-wide, not just in the USA.
It's my hope that if we can get anything successful done with
the petition, other countries will hopefully follow the US in
whatever reforms we achieve.  The more signatures we get,
the stronger our case is.  It's that simple.

It'd really be nice if we could get a lot more signatures this
month, as March is when my brother Jordan passed away
(March 31, 2020).  It'd be an extra nice way to remember him
and make something positive come out of this whole mess....
or at least, get us closer to doing so.

In other petition-related things, I haven't yet heard back from
most of the places I sent the petition to in December.
The Sec. of Health & Human Services office is the only one
so far who at least forwarded my packet onto another dept,
and I don't know what will come of that.  So, we'll see...

I'll try to send out new packets with the petition to
different places & people in the future.  Need to feel a bit
better and have a bit more money on-hand for the postage.
It's a little expensive for me because I pay for tracking on it.
I always want to make sure the petition arrives where it's
supposed to, because this is so important.

None of the money donated to the Change platform for the
petition goes to me, personally.  It goes to the Change people
to help promote the petition to their other users, who may
potentially sign.  I always want people to know this, so you'll
understand why sometimes I have to save up money to mail
off these packets that contain the petition. But I'll gladly do it
when I can.....we gotta make thyroid progress, right?

share it this way

Thanks to all of you for the help you've given so far.  It really is
very much appreciated.  And if any of you would like to now
help by spreading the petition's QR code via the mini-flyer
I've posted here, or some other way, that'd be a really nice thing
to do in Jordan's memory, and for everyone else who needs
real thyroid help.  Best to everyone.

from Jordan's sister, Starr D.
