Petition updateThyroid Patients Need Better Treatment NOWThyroid Petition Update--Got Odd Response from White House! Trying, again...

Hi, everyone. Well, when I mailed off my petition, "Thyroid
Patients Need Better Treatment NOW," to President Biden
in August, I didn't know what kind of response I'd get back.
Certainly, not the response I received, recently!  This is how
the White House letter opens:

"Dear Starr,

Thank you for writing to me about inflation--an issue on
the minds of millions of Americans."

Wow, really???  INFLATION???  That's not even close to the
topic of thyroid patients and the help they need!!

Don't know who was half-asleep when they opened my
packet and responded. But if the person worked for ME,
I'd fire them!!

I've been bounced around many times to one unhelpful
agency or another over the years, while trying to get help
for me or family members affected by thyroid. So, I try not
to get too discouraged. And instead, I look for another way
to get my petition seen by the right person.

As a result, I've just submitted a decent cover letter and a
link to the petition by email, on the White House's own
website.  As best I can tell, there's no direct email address
to the White House or President that regular citizens can
use, anymore. So, after seven failed attempts at trying to
work with their online submission form, it is done.

It is, once again, directed to Pres. Biden. We'll see how it goes!!

I wanted to let you all know what was going on, as you've
been so great about signing & supporting this petition.
As of this writing, "Thyroid Patients Need Better Treatment
NOW" has 6,129 signatures!  I'll keep gathering more until
we actually make progress. If you know anyone who'd like
to sign or share the petition, the link is here:
https://www.change.org/ThyoidBetterTreatment

I have alternate places/ offices I can send the petition to,
if this submission to Pres. Biden once again doesn't work
out. But, one thing at a time.

Since the petition is done in memory of my brother, Jordan,
I will say that I think he would've had a good laugh at how
the White House messed up on the letter they sent to me!
But he knew this was serious business, too, and would say
that we have to keep trying to get moving towards progress
for thyroid patients.  No matter how many incompetent
people we find, along the way!

Posting my favorite picture of Jordan and me, when we were
kids. It still makes me smile.  My best to everyone--
from Jordan's sister, Starr D.
