Dear Friends,

The City Council is meeting at 6 PM on Tuesday February 9 to accept or deny Pratt's PUD application for the Quarry. This is the moment of truth.

As anticipated back on January 11, the RPA who normally sides with any development, did so and it was just their recommendation. This time at City Council, the outcome is final and with your participation, we have reason to be optimistic

As you know, FOMC HAS BEEN OPPOSED to this PUD for many reasons. Don't believe the misinformation that has been circulated in the media by NCCC. They have been disingenuous in every way.

We were successful in City Council in 2018 not only because we were right, but because we "packed the house". Please help us do it again!  

FOMC needs every concerned neighbor to register to speak in opposition at the February 9th meeting. This is how residents demonstrate where they stand on this issue. We need you to be successful. 

1.    Please see the attachment for instructions on how to register. It's easy!

2.    You must register before February 9th.

3.    You will not be asked or required to speak but may do so if you desire.  FOMC will be coordinating speakers to challenge the PUD and will likely use all of the 9 minutes allocated for "opposition" to speak.

4.    There is a "raise hand" button that you can use to speak. At some point, the City Council may ask everyone present in Opposition to use that button to confirm your presence.

5.    In order to monitor our progress toward our goal of 100 minimum to the opposition, please  email us at FOMCquarry@gmail.com to let us know that you have registered to speak.
