Dear Friends of Mountain Creek at the Quarry
FOMC’s concerns with the Quarry development are NOT RESOLVED.
Thanks to those who responded to our request back in December to state your opinion on Pratt’s “concessions”. The results of this poll and the message to the North Chickamauga Creek Conservancy (NCCC) and Pratt were as expected by FOMC.
FOMC is hopeful that honest and constructive dialogue will begin.
The Bottom Line:
Development that includes apartments was soundly rejected,
NCCC’s interests are not the same as those of FOMCs, and
NCCC is not authorized to speak for or represent FOMC.
The Poll results:
Every “stakeholder” (those who own property in the immediate vicinity of the Quarry) rejected the concessions.
City wide, 96% of those who responded rejected the concessions.
Of those who rejected the “concessions”:
55% preferred the property remain greenspace.
35% accepted development as allowed by R-1 zoning and
10% thought that a better compromise could be possible.
Other news:
Representatives from the City have told us that Pratt’s lawsuit against our Councilman and the City has been delayed until August.
Thank you for your support
