We have set up a new petition for a Development Control Forum on the Westbrook Centre planning application. We need your help; please sign the new petition (even if you have already signed the change.org petition)

A development control forum is a meeting where petitioners can present their views to councillors, planning officers and the applicant some weeks before a planning application is finally determined. The aim of the forum is to allow early discussion of the planning issues raised by petitioners and to explore the scope for building consensus and resolving concerns. In our case, it will allow councillors to consider the arguments for and against new walking links and discuss whether any compromise solution exists.

Unfortunately our existing change.org petition is unsuitable for this purpose, so we have set up a new petition on the council website, which can be accessed here: https://democracy.cambridge.gov.uk/mgEPetitionDisplay.aspx?id=88

Please help by signing the new petition, even if you have signed our change.org petition. We require 25 signatures from Cambridge residents before the end of the consultation period on 29th March 2024. Anyone who would like to sign the e-petition will need to create an account, and we have been warned that the verification email can go into people's 'junk' email box.
