BBMP to Demolish Buildings occupying Storm/Rain Water Drains

Finally, CM Siddaramaiah has instructed BBMP to begin demolition drive to remove encroachments from primary storm water drains (SWDs) in the city to prevent flooding during rains. All under 4 months. This is one step forward towards the Flood Free Bengaluru. However, This city also needs new Storm Water Drains constructed in the parts of the city that lack infrastructure and are majorly affected by regular floods during Monsoons. Rain Water belongs in our Beautiful Lakes requiring preservation and not the Roads.
