Bendigo council has voted to abandon its independence and become a Bendigo branch of the State Government. It has agreed to be the State Government's tenant in the new Govhub, selling prime CBD real estate owned by the residents of Bendigo without consultation, information or consideration to the future of the city.

We call on the councillors of the City of Greater Bendigo to engage in open and transparent consultation with the city of Bendigo - call a public meeting for 1 May and then call a referendum of residents to decide the future of Bendigo's democratic independence from the State Government.
