Over the past few seasons Ben Strang (Director of Football) at Cambridge United has signed players that are either injured or injury prone. I have supported this club for over 20 years and I have seen the signings the club has made go backwards.

On transfers deadline day we were promised it was going to be busy with 3 signings coming in, we only signed a goalkeeper. During this transfer window we failed to sign a recognised striker and 2 midfielders and 2 defenders. I feel that potential football league position is at stake after 3 seasons of horrendous signings. We must take caution and look at Forest Green and Carlisle who have been relegated from league one and now Carlisle are in league two in the relegation zone and Forest Green last season got relegated from the football league

As fans we were promised that the transfers would improve but this has not been the case. I love my club but not when it’s run like this.

Any loyal fan can see that while our budget might be small how can we progress with players who are has beens and now are in the twilight of their career.
