Ever since their debut, innocent rookie group ILLIT has been bombarded with comparisons from haters to ‘NewJeans’ that are obviously not true. 

These comparisons diminish their hard work, efforts and identity as ILLIT. As ILLIT they can be anything and they’re definitely not NewJeans. “ILL-Be anything.”

Quickly, the comparisons turned into trolling, harassment, then bullying. To this day there’s still comments flowing in from invasive Tokkis. 

Nobody owns re-used popular dance moves, nobody owns long healthy hair and nobody owns being a 5 member group.

For the well-being and mental sake of the girls—

 

We are asking BELIFT LAB, the sub label in control of ILLIT to filter out these collection of words on all their social media:

Group name: NewJeans, 뉴진스 

Fandom name: Tokkis, Bunnies, 버니즈

Member names: Hanni, Minji, Danielle, Haerin, Hyein, 하니, 민지, 다니, 단니엘, 해린, 혜인

Emojis: 🆕👖,🐐,🐑,🤮,🤢

Insults: Goat, Dozen, Copy, Plagiarism, Uncanny valley

(This includes all possible variants/bypasses of the included names. You can add up to 500 separate word filters on Tiktok.)

This might seem drastic to some, but it has really gotten to that point. This is how  lives end in the industry. 

 

GLLITz are done opening the comment sections with high hopes it’ll be over, instead being met with hate and comparisons every time. Especially when you, as Belift Lab, could’ve protected ILLIT from the start by doing this.

 

The girls should be able to read their comment section without seeing vile and malicious insults and things about them and their work. They should see the comments from GLLITz all around the world and their support. Nobody deserves the unwarranted mass hatred ILLIT received and is still receiving.

Social medias should be safe places for artists and fan.
