Being offended is not a reason to remove legal products from retail shelves.

Being offended is not a reason to remove legal products from retail shelves.
The Issue
Hello everyone,
Last year I received a Human Organs lunch bag as a Secret Santa gift and found it genuinely hilarious. After reading recent media coverage about the product, I felt compelled to create this petition.
Recent articles and social media posts have called for the product to be boycotted because some people have said they are offended. I am therefore calling on major retailers - including NEXT - to reconsider the decision to remove the novelty Human Organs lunch bag from sale.
The product is entirely legal and was clearly designed as a humorous novelty gift. It is not a medical product, nor is it intended to mock illness, loss, or organ transplantation. The design uses dark, tongue-in-cheek humour commonly found in novelty gifts, fancy dress, and seasonal products sold widely on the high street.
While it is important to be respectful of differing viewpoints, not all products are meant for everyone. Removing items solely because some customers find them distasteful sets a worrying precedent, where humour, creativity, and consumer choice are restricted rather than allowing individuals to decide for themselves.
As a regular NEXT customer, I know the brand already serves a diverse customer base with a wide range of styles, tastes, and senses of humour. Customers who dislike a novelty product are free not to purchase it - but others should not lose access to a harmless item they enjoy.
I respectfully ask NEXT to:
• Reinstate the novelty lunch bag
• Continue offering products that reflect a variety of tastes and humour
• Trust customers to make their own purchasing decisions
A diverse customer base deserves diverse products. Choice, not removal, is the fairest and most balanced approach.
I urge NEXT to bring the product back and support consumer choice rather than withdrawing harmless novelty items due to complaints. If you enjoy fun, light-hearted Secret Santa gifts, this issue matters. Products shouldn’t disappear simply because a few people dislike them. Please sign this petition to support consumer choice and remind retailers that humour still has a place.
Merry Christmas everyone,
John Richards
