Survey results are impressive!

A message from Save Cuttagee Bridge group:
"Using Freedom of Information, the Save Cuttagee Bridge campaign has accessed the Have Your Say survey Bega Valley Council put to the community in April, asking for feedback on how Cuttagee Bridge should be rebuilt. 528 people completed the survey, 82% of whom live locally. The results clearly show that 70% of people want Cuttagee to be rebuilt as a single lane bridge that honours the existing bridge’s timber heritage and character.
It would appear that Councillors have not been made aware of the results and Cuttagee Bridge was not included on the agenda for the most recent Council meeting.
The NSW State Government is funding the rebuild which stipulates that proper consideration be given to community opinion and the history of the bridge. "
There will be more in local media. Here's hoping the message has reached Council: a single lane timber bridge is the only acceptable option.
