Hooray! The NSW government have followed through with their pre election commitment in the budget.
As well as the new Regional Emergency Road Repair Fund (RERRF), the Regional Roads Fund is also for councils and includes “Commencing planning and restoration of the Cuttagee Bridge in Cuttagee”.
Thanks to the NSW Government, and MP Dr Michael Holland, for listening to the 14000 people who raised their voice!
This will enable unto commence the next steps: to research and design what’s possible and preferable.
What’s next? Transport for NSW will work with the State Government, Council and the community in the planning and community engagement process.
We are ready to consult, offering our expertise, and that of Professor Keith Crews and Dr Dan Tinglay as our timber bridge advisors.
