Britannia Parking have written back to me acknowledging my letter to them. I am expecting a detailed response next week.
Senior officers at Southampton City Council have also told me that they think that the points that I have put to Britannia are entirely reasonable. The Council owns the land that West Quay Retail park is on and I am urging them to use what influence they have either directly over Britannia or indirectly via the leaseholder of the site.
The Daily Echo will also be running a story on this in the coming days which hopefully will add to the pressure on Britannia.
Not only am I asking that they amend their parking arrangements but also that they pay back fines they have unfairly collected from people caught out by the 8pm cut over.
As well as this I have written to them on behalf of a number of people who have contacted me and who were unfairly fined and who had their appeals rejected, to ask that these cases specifically be reconsidered.
If you would like me to raise your case directly with them I would be more than happy to. Please email me at: councillor.j.moulton@southampton.gov.uk
