We pray that you are safe and healthy.  We want to thank you for supporting our efforts to Stop Destructionment at Bay Point.

We just received the Beaufort County Zoning Board of Appeals Agenda for Thursday, July 23, 2020 at 5:00 PM Beaufort High School – Performing Arts Center 84 Sea Island Pkwy. Lady’s Island, SC.  Social distancing and masks will be required for this meeting.

Not only are we calling on all supporters of this petition to continue to get your letters in to the ZBOA, we are asking you to make sure that we reach our 20,000 signature goal by the end of today-July 2, 2020.  We have over 19,000 signatures at this time.  We also look forward to seeing you all (from a distance) during this meeting as we present our case for why we OPPOSE this resort.  

July 2, 2020 is the 20th Anniversary celebration for the Gullah/Geechee Nation.  Assisting with reaching the 20,000 signature mark on this petition and reaching the $20,000 benchmark on the "Gullah/Geechee Land & Legacy Fund" GoFundMe campaign https://www.gofundme.com/f/gullahgeechee-land-legacy-fund are the way that supporters of us continuing our cultural traditions on these Sea Islands are celebrating with us.  Donations can also be sent via CashApp to $GullahGeecheeNation to support the legal fund that allows the community to continue to fight against these inappropriate projects that contribute to the environmental injustices on our coast.
