Bay Point New Proposal

We pray that you are all well in the midst of this pandemic.
In spite of the pandemic, Beaufort County continued to receive information from and to hold meetings with the destructioneers that seek to build on Bay Point near historic St. Helena Island, SC in the Gullah/Geechee Nation. There will be a face-to-face and Zoom meeting held tomorrow with select groups that have not been agreement with this project being considered ecotourism in spite of the fact that the planning staff has now changed their direction and think that it is. They met to review the latest submission on yesterday even though the county building was not open to the public for others to sit in and hear the presentation. Not everyone was notified by Beaufort County of any alternative method to be present for that presentation either. Nonetheless, various groups have now been able to obtain and share the current permutation of the proposal which we are attaching here along with the promo video the destructioneers have online for you to review as well:
We remain adamant that this project is not an appropriate use for a natural preserve area which Bay Point is. Tenki Tenki fa hunnuh standin wid we!
