Back in January 2024, along with our own submission to the Home Secretary for de-proscription, I delivered the first tranche of over 1400 signatures to Downing Street (see pic) - and the campaign is ongoing. There has been a hiatus of two years since 2024 because of various attacks I have been dealing with over my support for Palestine.
We’ve now re-launched it because it is becoming clear that as long as Hamas exists, Gaza will be bombed- and possibly completely depopulated. Because Hamas are deemed terrorists, the UK allows arms to Israel to bomb Gaza. We need to put much more pressure on our Government to recognise Hamas, as it did, up until 5 years ago. We can all see that the situation in Gaza is at stalemate, given that Hamas is used as the excuse for every bomb dropped in Gaza. Without Hamas, there can be no just peace.
I suspect we both know that much of what took place on 7th October 2023 has been misreported, as my article of November 2023 in Redress points out.

My petition now supports the Riverways bid for Hamas de-proscription which was lodged last year (https://hamascase.com/) and is currently before the Proscribed Organisations Appeal Commission.
As well as more deliveries to Downing Street every time I get 1500 signatures, petitioner signers will be asked to call upon their MPs to reconsider their approach to Hamas and their support for Israeli attacks on Gaza, under the pretext of “wiping out Hamas”.
