Thank you everyone who has shown your support for the animals by contacting the BCSPCA. Though the BCSPCA has responded to emails, it remains unclear if they submitted the evidence to Crown Council for review or not.
Please continue to email and let them know that we want a definitive yes or no answer to the following:
Did they submit the evidence to Crown Council?
- If yes, which Crown Prosecutor rejected it?
- If no, who told them not to submit the evidence? Was it a Crown Prosecutor or someone internally within the BCSPCA?
The public expects accountability and transparency from the BCSPCA as the body to prevent cruelty to animals. It is unacceptable to not be given clarity on who is preventing the BCSPCA from doing their job!
On a related note, the BCSPCA has partnered with Crime Stoppers to provide a way for the public to anonymously report animal cruelty footage. If you have animal cruelty footage from Excelsior Hog Farm, please consider submitting it to Crime Stoppers.

Let’s continue this fight until full transparency and accountability is obtained.
