Day 2 of the Petition

It has been a very busy 24 hours and many nurses are left with anger, fear, uncertainty, and disappointment. After reading the reasons why and receiving feedback from individuals, it has become very clear the many feel that the votes were not a true representation of the entire nursing community. In addition, people believe a third party company should be involved in the polling and conducting of counts for the ballots. I have been reviewing labour laws and BC government laws that will help guide us toward a just reason to ask for a recount and a change to our current voting system. Initially I had petitioned for a revote, which I may have ambitiously had hoped for but would realistically not be available for us due to financial and logistical reasons. Therefore I have changed the petition name to reflect the desires of the petition supporters and actions that should be taken by the BCNU. Please keep sharing this petition with your fellow colleagues and those who have not seen this and do not agree with the current contract. Thank you all for your feedback and keep it coming. It is really helping me throughout this long process.
