CBC Interview and Scheduled Painting!

CBC News interviewed me this morning and I am told they also talked to the Ministry of Transportation & Infrastructure.  I will update you when I get the link for the news story!

Coincidentally, this afternoon I was contacted by Réal Charrois at Mainroad (the contractor responsible for pavement marking on Portage Road) and he says work is starting in Pemberton next week.  Here is the text of his email with further details:

“Hi Nicole, I wanted to provide an update to the issue in Pemberton. We have been contracted by the Ministry to refresh the cross walks through Pemberton and Whistler. The Ministry has asked that the crosswalks be in-laid (recessed into the pavement) so they will last several years.   A harder thermal plastic was also ordered specifically for the project about 8 weeks ago and is now in.  

 A Thermal Plastic crew and a Grinding crew will be up there next week. The crews will be starting in Pemberton and working their way through Whistler. If you have any further questions please contact me.
