First I want to thank all of the front line workers who are working harder than ever during this pandemic. Wow! With over 15,000 supporters at the end of day three, 150,216 views & 2,283 shares, I am completely blown away with the support that this petition has received from British Columbians. Thank you so much for all of your signatures, shares, and comments. I will forward all of your comments to The Minister of Health. I strongly believe that no one should pay for parking at any health care facility. I want to add a quote from our top comment;“I feel like we pay a lot to hold our jobs as it is with union dues. The burden we bare with extremely low staffing and the pressures associated with trying to provide quality & continuity of care for our patients is substantial. Paying to park at the place where we force ourselves to go each and every day to care for the sick and dying is just another dig in our already diminishing morale.” In March 2020 there were two change.org petitions that contributed to the change for free parking for the health care workers in BC. Here we are 2 years later fighting the fight again. Thank you for standing with all of us health care workers in hopes of continuing free parking.
