Petition of concern about BBC Studios approach to Doctor Who fan content

Petition of concern about BBC Studios approach to Doctor Who fan content
The Issue
This is an open petition, stating concern about BBC Studios' approach - in the last year, and particularly in the past few weeks, towards fan content related to Doctor Who.
Fan content provides a passionate engaging outreach for the show to both existing fans and people previously unfamiliar with the show.
The current experience of BBC Studios staff contacting fanfiction and fan audioplays about the own original non-profit ventures - is concerning.
The manual targeting of those who use clips of the show for review purposes or for 'Top 10' videos that strongly promote the episodes that they are discussing - is concerning.
We, of the Doctor Who fandom - both creators and the viewers of said creators - call upon you to make a strong reconsideration of the actions you are taking against passionate fans who are doing no damage to the sales or marketability of the brand.
This is a turning point that, if left unchecked, could push fan content creators away from creating content entirely. (what's the point in making a video essay about the show's music if a short clip to illustrate the music is quashed? what's the point in 'top 10' videos if you can't show anything of your top 10? what's the point of keeping the fan community engaging and excited in supplement to the official content, when the first thing that happens is a strong-worded email from BBC Studios?)
Sincerely, concerned fans.
[PS - all signatories are invited to share their own words on and/or personal experiences of this behaviour of BBC Studios.]
