Good start!

Hi, thank you very much for signing the petition in support of Alex Lester and Janice Long. I'm trying really hard to reach out to the programme's listeners, who will undoubtedly sign this as soon as they read it. The difficulty is... how do we reach the truckers, the railwaymen, the bakers, the warehouse staff, etc etc? (There isn't a Facebook page for all the UK's night shift workers unfortunately.) There are two weeks left to save Janice and Alex. Any extra shares to your Facebook, Twitter, MySpace (!) etc would be invaluable. Please help to get this in front of as many folk as you can. I'm reminded of the success that Save BBC 6 Music had. There have been plenty of negative comments about this being a done deal, and a waste of time. I'm not convinced that this is always the case, and it was certainly not the case when the BBC reversed the 6 Music closure plan. Many thanks, and please, share the petition as widely as you possibly can. Finally, there is another petition running on Change, about this subject. I have spoken to the gentleman who set that up, and we are waiting to hear from Change about how we can merge the two separate petitions. So that's very positive news and a great step in the right direction. Cheers
