Bayview Irrigation District Cat Colony Closed--Last Cat Relocated Today

This update is delivered with mixed emotions. For Trenton, the cat in the foreground and longest living resident of the colony, it is great news! He has been relocated with his former colony members into a safe barn cat program. Although he was settling in by himself at the irrigation district, a new cat could come along and change everything since he is not an Alpha cat. There was also a dog coming onto the property making him skittish. That said, I will miss the colony that I have been caretaking for 7 years. I thank each and every one of you who understands that trap-neuter-return (TNR) is the best solution for stray cats.
