Victory! Cats Will Be Relocated and Safe

The Bayview Irrigation District cats will be relocated to a barn cat program. For those who have colonies on private property other than your own, this may this be a learning opportunity. There are no guarantees with colonies on commercial, government, or school property—especially properties that are fenced and you cannot get to the cats when the business is closed. They can put feeding bans into effect putting cats in jeopardy. A petition and media contact may buy you some time; however, relocation may be your only option. Please find or develop a barn cat program where cats are contained for 4 weeks at their new location so they know where their new home is. I am grateful for your support, the organization that took these cats in, and to all those who help community cats through trap-neuter-return programs.
