Beaumaris Indoor Sports Facility: Council meeting Tues 23 Feb

Thanks so much for showing your support by signing the petition to have Bayside City Council commit funding towards an Indoor Sports Facility in Beaumaris. It's been a tremendous response! We now need to ensure your voices are presented directly to Council. The Council's meeting on this issue is this Tuesday 23rd Feb (tomorrow!) and we need to get as many local people with interest in the facility to come along to briefly state your view. If you can make it, please do register to have your say at the meeting: http://bayside.vic.gov.au/about_the_council/request_to_be_heard.htm (enter ordinary council meeting, agenda item 10.4) The council meeting is at 7pm, at the Council Chambers in Boxshall Street in Brighton. There won't be that much time for individuals to speak (3 minutes or less), so it's not a big speech, more of a brief statement of what you think. Many comments to this petition tell of issues faced through the lack of a local facility like this, or talk of the potential that the venue would provide, so we are keen to get all of your voices represented.
