Many of you will know, the 2026 Local Plan has been abandoned and Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council is now working towards a new 2029 Local Plan.
The first stage is that BDBC are asking residents to comment on its Scoping Document by the 20th November 2026.

Please note that these questions are not site-specific. This is an early stage in the process and it will be mid 2027 before they have a draft plan that will show what housing sites are included or excluded.

* The Upper Swallick planning application

BDBC received 1300 objections regarding the planning application for the Upper Swallick site, a fantastic achievement and response from both local residents and the wider Basingstoke community.
