If you would not kill another person, why would you kill a horse? Horses have helped us develop to become the people we are today. They have served us in many ways such as transportation, and the US Postal Service, but NOT as meat. Killing innocent animals is cruelty. Foreign countries enjoy the meat that WE provide. Please help us with our cause, and you will feel like a better person inside. US horses are sent to other countries, including Mexico and Canada, where they are stabbed multiple times in the neck, feeling everything when they bleed and suffocate to death. The horses are transported in cattle cars, which are way too short for the horses long limbs. So, in this case the horses are often injured and/or trampled. Many times they are transported in extreme weather, where the horses have no blankets or water. The facilities where the horses will spend the last of their days in are filthy, blood covered, and way too small. This is way below American standards, and we being Americans, it reflects badly on us. But we can do something to protect these wild animals who do not have a voice for themselves. Horses are transported with no rest, food, and water when they are transported in double decked cattle-cars where they get injured and sometimes trampled. The handlers mix different types of horses together, where some horses fight for dominance (two stallions) which could result in injury or death of a specific target or bystanders that cannot move out of the tightly packed cars. The horses are usually in very crowded pens where people are rough and do not handle them with care. The injuries from the are left untreated, and in this case the horses are left in pain. The horses have no blankets at the slaughter houses and are left cold and frozen. The bystanders do not care, because they are just seen as meat, and profit. The handling of horses is wrong; they are beaten with sticks, hit, hammered, stunned with a bolt gun, and more. So please, work for the horses who cannot speak, write, read, but can change a little girls world in five seconds. Sign our petition and represent the horses. This is what we owe the horses, because they were always there for us, so finally in turn we are ready to support them.
