Let's get to 2,500 and start tweeting!

Good afternoon everyone, I am pleased to share that we have gotten some great local news coverage. Daily Illini, WCIA, WAND, and the News-Gazette. Great job! So, what are the next steps? We need to make our voice herd even deeper in the community: -Share the Facebook event, there's 44,000 students and countless parents and Obama fans, invite them to show energy. -Keep sharing this petition and let's reach the next goal of 2,500. -Start communicating with Obama on social media, tag him in Facebook posts, tweets, and even on Instagram...this is super important now to make sure he gets our message, use our hashtag #ILLINOISInvitesObama -Come to our event on Monday at 5:15 in the Illini Union by the South lounge. You can hand write a letter which will be personally delivered to Obama by one of our alumni, learn more about the campaign, and bring your friends along to tweet, take cool pictures, and have some snacks! Thanks for all the help, and remember, YES WE CAN!
