Help surfers raise awareness of Shark Attacks

Help surfers raise awareness of Shark Attacks
The Issue
Surfing is one of the oldest sports on the planet and it is quickly becoming threatened due to increased amount of Shark attacks. Recently, World surf champ, Kelly Slater was blasted for advocating for the young bodyboarder, Alexandre Naussac who was killed in a shark attack off the coast of Reunion. This was the twentieth shark attack to happen off the coast of Reunion to swimmers/surfers and nobody is doing anything about it. Moreover, there have been shark attacks in Hawaii, California, South Africa, and the worst of all, Australia. There have been over 1600 unprovoked shark attacks in the US and over 75% of them had surfers involved. Here's the catch, Environmentalists are saying that we are wrong and that sharks are more important than humans and our best bet is to stay out of the water. For most recent shark attacks on surfers, Environmentalists have been saying that it was their fault as they weren't watching the water or they were in the dark. They don't understand how surfing is a sport that has been passed down for 2000 years and that 10 years ago, shark attacks were almost never recorded and now we have one every month. I am a surfer myself and I believe that environmentalists just telling us to deal with it is a cruel thing to do as this is someone's life your taking away. Help me stop this nonsense and spread the word that Shark attacks are imminent and no one is doing anything about them. Thank You!!
