Bar Corrupt Retired Pakistani Officials from Holding UK Posts
The Issue
RE: Ex Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faiz Esa's appointment at Middle Temple
Having witnessed relentless malpractice in Pakistan, it deeply concerns me that these negative behaviors may find a foothold in the United Kingdom. I am specifically worried about the corrupt retired officials from Pakistan who appear to be leveraging their reach to gain legislative posts in the UK. It is a disturbing trend that potentially undermines the rule of law, threatens democratic values, and harms the confidence public has in institutions.
Transparency International ranks Pakistan 124 out of 180 countries on its Corruption Perceptions Index 2020. (source: Transparency International).
We cannot let individuals with a history of corruption (especially showing immense bias in their decisions, showing personal likes and dislike against political parties) infect our democratic processes. This petition is for questioning the appointment of ex CJP Qazi Faiz Esa to the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple for reasons below:
- Victimisation of PTI
- Judicial manipulation agaisnt PTI and former PM Imran Khan
- Stripping PTI off its electoral symbol
- Facilitating stripping of reserved seats from PTI
- Supported rigged elections and rigged recounts
- Supporting and facilitating implementation of Article 63A whereby elected members can jump ships promoting horse trading
- Supporting 26th Amendment there by ending organic judicial selection of CJP (Pakistan being the only country in the world now practising this form of CJ selection)
- Has not acted as a true chief justice and not delivered unbiased
- and the list goes
I urge the authorities to review the eligibility of ex Cief Justice of Pakistan, Qazi Faiz Esa who has a record of mal practices and bar him from holding any post in the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple. Let us ensure the integrity of our legislative structure and protect it from any form of corruption. Please join me in making this important appeal. Sign the petition today.
