Petition to Ban Ear Cropping and Tail Docking in Indiana

To: [Local Lawmakers/Legislators]

We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens of Indiana who urge our lawmakers to prohibit the practices of ear cropping and tail docking for cosmetic purposes.

Reasons for the Ban:

Animal Welfare: These procedures cause unnecessary pain and can lead to long-term health issues.
Lack of Evidence: There is no substantial evidence that these procedures provide any benefits to dogs.
Unorthodox Practice: These procedures are considered outdated and unnecessary in modern veterinary care.
Ethical Concerns: Performing these procedures solely for cosmetic reasons is essentially mutilating animals without any justifiable cause.

Our Commitment:

As residents of Indiana, we show love to all animals and believe that they deserve to live free from unnecessary suffering.

Call to Action:

We urge you to support legislation that will end these practices in Indiana and promote a more compassionate approach to animal care.

Thank you for your attention to this important matter.

Sincerely,

Cameron Dicken
