Councillor Mary Fragedakis has just shared the exciting news that Toronto City Council passed a motion calling on the Bank of Canada to celebrate women from Canadian history. The motion passed 38-3, sending a strong message to the Bank of Canada that our campaign continues to gain momentum, and the exclusion of Canadian women is unacceptable to people across the country - including the largest city in Canada. This is a great way to usher in Women's History Month! When will the Bank of Canada take action, announcing Canada will join the many countries around the globe that honour the achievements of the female half of their populations on bank notes?????
