Kudos to councillor Donna Reid, who has introduced a motion calling on Cambridge City Council to support Canadian women on our money. Similar motions have passed recently in Montreal and Whitehorse, and we're expecting Toronto City Council to vote today on a motion introduced by Mary Fragedakis. It's wonderful to see this support - especially during Women's History Month in Canada. Wouldn't this be a great time for the Bank of Canada to announce that women from Canadian history will be celebrated on our bank notes? Let's keep up the pressure - Herstory matters.
