Bangalore needs more Dog Parks

Bangalore needs more Dog Parks
The Issue
Bangalore has a rapidly growing pet population in addition to its fast reducing green cover & lack of open spaces . Bangalore also has probably the fastest growing and most compassionate pet parents in the country. #AdoptDontShop is common, thankfully. Most pets live in apartments and do need to have a space or park to stretch and play . Yet there are only a few Dog Parks in the city whether commercial or community ones. The iconic Sunday Dog Park @Cubbon Park , for example, is very popular and people come from 20/25 kms to visit and play here.
So what we need is a smaller places, in reclaimed land or community spaces that can be set up as a Dog Park , with the help of local Corporator's , engineers, dog lovers community and RWA associations . The small 4000 aft Domlur Park is another such example of a PPP that resulted in its formation .
We request that we have at least one dog park per zone so as to give some breathing space to our dogs. The outcomes will be excellent and running that park could be a public- private initiative . This would encourage a stronger connect and a tighter binding of community
