BEC Fiber: Installation Update & Misinformation

Dear Neighbors, I am writing to provide an update regarding the BEC Fiber effort in our community, specifically, installation status and misinformation that has been communicated. INSTALLATION STATUS BEC Fiber is on the way! Work on the installation for our community began in the middle of February. I noticed the contractors on the roadside and stopped to say “hello” and confirmed “our community is waiting.” They stated progress is being realized daily. While I am going to post periodic updates, please use the following link to update current information directly from BEC Fiber: https://joinbec.banderaelectric.com/ MISINFORMATION I understand local competitors are communicating false claims to the community regarding the quality of BEC Fiber software and hardware. Spreading misinformation is not only a bad business practice but also, when discovered, reflects very poorly upon those who are doing so in bad faith. In addition, it causes unnecessary confusion among neighbors. Due to my involvement in this effort, which now spans almost two years, I have become intimately familiar with the BEC technology which is clearly a cutting edge and superior product in the marketplace. Indeed, considering the amount of volunteer time spent on this effort, anything less would be unacceptable for our community. I remain grateful BEC Fiber stepped-up when, for months, our pleas fell upon deaf ears of other local competitors who, seemingly, are now trying to undermine our current plan.
