Central High School Warrior Band and Whitehaven High School Tigers competed in Jackson State University's "Sonic Boom of the South" High School Battle of the Bands.With Central winning 1st place in 2 out of 3 divisions, and Whitehaven winning the first division. Each bus didn't make it to the school until 2 AM leaving students to get home and in the bed at 3 AM. A teenager is clinically proven to need AT LEAST 8 hours of sleep which we will not get trying to be at school on Monday, September 26th. We ask that we may have excused absences ONLY on Monday for BAND MEMBERS ONLY.
